Former UMaine Farmington player and Woodland HS coach Steve Clifford brings his NBA Charlotte Hornets to Boston Garden tonight to play the Celtics tonight and the game is on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket. Coverage starts at 7pm.

The Celtics will get their point guard, Isaiah Thomas, back from injury tonight. Clifford will lose his point guard, Kemba Walker, who has an excused absence for a personal matter.

The two teams have kind of been on similar paths so far this season.

The C's are sitting in a tie for 5th place in the Eastern Conference at 13-12. The Celtics have dropped three in a row and four of their last five.

Clifford's Hornets are in a tie for 3rd place in the East at 14-12. The Hornets have lost three in a row and Clifford said after a Wednesday night loss to the Wizards that his team needs to be tougher.

This is the second of four games during the season between the Celtics and Charlotte.

Clifford, who played his college ball at UMF and took his first coaching job at Woodland HS, is in his fourth season as Charlotte head coach.
