On this day In 1984 “If You’re Gonna Play in Texas (You Gotta Have a Fiddle in the Band)” became Alabama’s 14th consecutive No.1 single on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart.
The “B-side” to the song, “I’m Not That Way Anymore,” was listed as a tag-along since the band filmed a video for it at Fort Payne High School.
