Brooks & Dunn's "Red Dirt Road" hit #1 toady in 2003. It was off their eighth studio album by the same name. It's our Classic Country Song of the Day.

The song means a lot to Kix Brooks & Ronnie Dunn who say it's all about growing up in the country and having that one dirt road in your life. They usually wrote songs individually, but, "Red Dirt Road" they wrote together.

After Dale Earnhardt died, Brooks & Dunn sang this song at his tribute concert.

Here they are performing it live at Farm Aid, 2003.
