Hillary Scott and Kelsea Ballerini Pop Up at Charles Kelley’s Solo Show
It was a reunion of sorts on Tuesday night (April 26) for several country artists in Los Angeles, Calif.
Charles Kelley was in L.A. for a sold-out solo show at the Troubadour, and Lady Antebellum bandmate Hillary Scott and her friend Kelsea Ballerini couldn't miss it. During the set, they even surprised the crowd when they joined Kelley on stage for a performance of Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now."
While Scott and Kelley sang the first verse and chorus together, Scott hinted that someone else was about to join the duo on the stage. "Come on out, girl," she said motioning to the left side of the stage.
Ballerini then walked out to screams as she sang the second verse of the song as Kelley gave her a big hug. The three friends later closed out the song with a little help from the audience.
"All right, everybody. Let's sing it together," Kelley said as he held his microphone to the crowd.
The trio seamlessly segued into a cover of John Wait's 1984 No. 1 hit "Missing You" before they embraced in a big hug at the end of the nearly six-minute performance.
No doubt a fun time for all three artists, Scott posted a photo of the performance on her Instagram page, explaining there was no way she'd miss the show.
"When one of your best friends @charleskelley sells out the #Troubadour you go...and then our girl @kelseaballerini showed up and then SO many things were right about the world!" she writes as the caption.
