Clay Buchholz turned in another solid performance which was the key to the Red Sox picking up a 1-0 win over Minnesota and snapping a 3-game losing streak.Buchholz pitched one of his best games of the season as he was in control from the opening pitch and held the Twins to just 3 hits over 8 innings of work while striking out 8 and only walking 2. For Buchholz it's his 6th straight quality start and over the last 5 games he has an ERA of 1.95 while lowering is ERA for the season from 6.03 to 3.82.

The Sox were fortunate to have Buchholz on his game because the offense did not show much punch against Mike Pelfrey as they collected just 7 hits with the biggest coming the the 7th inning when Rusney Castillo came up with a 2-out rbi single driving in Xander Bogaerts with the lone run of the game. Castillo also preserved the lead with a homerun robbing catch in the top of the 8th off the bat of Aaron Hicks.

Koji Uehara closed out the game for his 11th save. The two teams will play a double header today with Eduardo Rodriguez and Rick Porcello getting the starts for Boston.
