Carrie Underwood will be out of commission for a bit after falling outside of her Nashville-area home on Friday night (Nov. 10). The country superstar, according to a representative, broke her wrist and suffered some cuts and abrasions.

Nashville’s Tennessean reports that Underwood was treated at a nearby hospital and has since been released. Her husband, Mike Fisher, returned to Nashville overnight to be by her side.

“Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody … I’ll be alright … might just take some time …,” Underwood tweeted around 11AM ET on Sunday (Nov. 12). “Glad I’ve got the best hubby in the world to take care of me.”

The statement from Underwood’s representative, too, notes that the singer “appreciates all prayers and well wishes,” and that her recovery will “take some time.” As such, she will be unable to perform during the Country Rising benefit concert that is scheduled for Sunday night in Nashville. The event is raising money for those affected by this year’s numerous devastating hurricanes, as well as for victims of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting.

Underwood suffered her fall just two nights after co-hosting the 2017 CMA Awards, for a 10th consecutive year, with Brad Paisley. During the event, she performed “Softly and Tenderly” for an “in memoriam” segment that honored both the country music industry figures and artists who died this year, as well as the fans killed during the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting.
