Caribou Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Transportation of Child Pornography
A Caribou man was sentenced to 20 years in prison earlier today after being convicted on child pornography charges.
United States Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II announced that 26-year-old Christopher Hitchcock, of Caribou, was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Bangor, to 20 years in prison, to be followed by 20 years of supervised release, for transportation of child pornography. Hitchcock pleaded guilty on November 13, 2013.
According to court documents, Hitchcock emailed images of child pornography to several individuals from his parent’s residence in Fort Fairfield.
In imposing the sentence, Judge Woodcock noted Hitchcock’s lengthy criminal record, including convictions for assault and domestic violence, and unrelated charges pending against him in state court in Aroostook County for attempted gross sexual assault and visual sexual aggression against a child.
