After big changes at Canada Post earlier this year, the postal carrier says it's in the black and actually making money. The Post credits growth in its parcel delivery business and lower pension costs.

For the second quarter of the year, Canada Post reports a net profit of $67 million dollars. That after a loss of $50 million dollars during the same period in 2013.

The Crown corporation announced a plan late last year to phase out home delivery within five years and raise stamp prices. In February, it installed community mailboxes for 100 thousand addresses in 11 communities across Canada.
