Maybe there is something to those new light blue uniforms! A 3-2 overtime win over Princeton means a four game win streak since the Bears starting wearing the so called third uniform.

Blaine Byron fired in the game winner 2:56 into overtime. He was camped in front of the net and took a pass from Cam Brown. He then beat Tigers goalie Colton Phinney.

The win puts the Black Bears at 4-8-3. Princeton drops to 2-9.

Maine scored the first two goals of the game. Byron had a highlight reel goal in the first period. Dan Renouf added a powerplay goal in the second period.

But Princeton came back on the Bears scoring two third period goals to send it to OT.

Goalie Matt Morris made 31 saves while Phinney made 47 for the Tigers.

Maine plays a home-and-home series vs UNH next weekend to conclude first semester play. Friday night's game is at Alfond, Saturday's at Durham.
