The Ellsworth Eagles and Caribou Vikings battled through four quarters and down to  the last second of overtime in a thriller, and at the buzzer it was the No. 2 Eagles advancing to the Northern Maine finals.

Down by 3 points with less than 3 seconds on the clock, Ellsworth’s Bryce Harmon sent the game to overtime with a last-second three-pointer.

92.9 The Ticket reports the Eagles avoided the upset, winning the Class B semifinal at Bangor's Cross Insurance Center 42-40 on a last second shot by Bruce St. Peter.

Ellsworth, the #2 seed defeated Caribou, the #6 seed twice this season, 51-38 on December 31st in Caribou and 46-29 in Ellsworth on January 22nd

Ellsworth will face the winner of Old Town and Orono on Championship Saturday.
