A tough night for both the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins. Both teams lost to sub-500 teams. Both teams need to find a way to play better defense.

In Minnesota, the Celtics lost the lowly Timberwolves 124-122, mainly because they could not stop rookie Karl Anthoney-Towns. He had 28 points, 13 rebounds and four assists.
The C's did get a three point shot at the buzzer that would have won the game. Jae Crowder led the Celts with 27 points.

In Boston, the sleepy Bruins lost to the Columbus Blue Jackets 6-4. The B's had just completed their longest roadtrip of the year with a 4-2 record only to lay an egg at home. Their home record in now 12-15-3.
