The early NHL season gets alittle worse for the Boston Bruins - Brad Marchand is out of the lineup with a concussion suffered in Saturday night's loss to Montreal.

The Bruins take out former UMaine goalie Ben Bishop and the Tampa Bay Lightning in a Columbus Day afternoon game.

Marchand took an elbow from Montreal's Dale Wiese. Coach Claude Julien says it is unknown how long he'll be out of the lineup.

The B's also waived defenseman Matt Irwin. In two games, Irwin had a minus-5 rating. In other words, he was on the ice for five goals.

Captain Zdeno Chara was at Sunday practice and could play as early as today against the Lightning.

NOTE:  The Bruins vs Tampa Bay game can be heard live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket. Live coverage begins at 12:30pm.
