Brooks & Dunn joined forces with Jason Aldean for a powerful collaboration on their hit song "Brand New Man" at the 2016 CMA Awards. The duo became a trio with Aldean onstage, standing in front of bright lights that matched the "fire in your eyes" lyrics of the song.

Aldean was clad in his iconic cowboy hat standing between the two country star legends; as the three men strummed their guitars in unison it was clear that the audience was feeling the music and approved of the match up. "Brand New Man" was the title track off of Brooks & Dunn's 1991 release, which went triple platinum.

Aldean spent 2016 releasing new music and touring the U.S. during his Six String Circus Tour. Although he didn't receive any CMA Awards nominations this year, Aldean was named Entertainer of the Year at the 2016 ACM Awards, earning the coveted ACM Triple Crown Award for his trio of wins as New Male Vocalist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year. On Sept. 9, Aldean released his seventh studio album, They Don't Know.

With 19 trophies to their name, Brooks & Dunn have won more CMA Awards than any other group or duo ... and only a few less than the top winner of all time, George Strait. Although Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn broke up the band in 2010, the two have remained friends, with Brooks even contributing to Dunn's most recent solo single, "Damn Drunk."
