The finalists for the Miss Maine Softball award are out and it includes three pitchers, two from Eastern Maine and one from the west.Arika Brochu of Cony is one of the three finalists and is coming off an 11 win season and KVAC Player of the Year honors.

She is joined by Kristal Smith of Gardiner who helped lead the Gardiner Tigers to an undefeated regular season before losing to Hermon in the Eastern Maine Championship game. Thornton Academy's Bailey Tremblay rounds out the list of three. Tremblay racked up 130 strikeouts this season and batted over .500.

The award will be handed out Thursday between the C/D and A/B senior all-star games at Cony High School.
