9 year-old Colby Scott has severe Aplastic Anemia, a condition in which the bone marrow does not make enough new blood cells. Thanks to his 6 year-old brother Carson, who was a perfect donor match, on September 18th Colby had a bone marrow transplant. All is well so far but Colby will remain in Boston with his mother for a matter of months and will have to make trips back and forth after that.

Undoubtedly this can be a major financial burden on any family and you can help.  There will be a turkey dinner with all the fixings on Saturday, November 2nd beginning at 4:30 pm followed by a silent auction at 6 at the Central Aroostook Jr/Sr High School in Mars Hill.

If you'd like to donate auction items you can drop them off at the Mars Hill Superintendent's Office or contact Stephanie Stiles to arrange to have them picked up.  Her number is 207-227-5635.  Please help to bring Colby back home.
