Depth of the Celtics bench was thought to be a strength of this team going into the season. Tuesday night they lived up to those expectations leading Boston to a 99-83 win over Milwaukee.

Not only did the Celtics bench outscore the Bucks bench 50-25, they also outscored their own starting 5 by a 50-49 margin. Three players came off the bench and scored double digits including Evan Turner 13 points, David Lee 13 points and Kelly Olynyk 11 points. Bench players also helped to control the board by hauling down 19 rebounds.

Isaiah Thomas seems to be adjusting nicely to his spot in the starting rotation and led Boston with 20 points while Jared Sullinger added a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The game remained close with the Celtics holding a one point lead late in the third quarter before scoring 19 of the last 20 points to close the third and open a large lead they would never lose.

Boston returns to the Garden tonight for a game against the Indiana Pacers. You can hear the game live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket with coverage starting at 7pm.
