The beat goes on for UMaine women's basketball. Sunday afternoon's 63-45 victory over Hartford extends the winning streak to nine straight games.

Junior Liz Wood was one of three Black Bear players scoring in double digits. Wood had 11, including the 1,000th of her career. She becomes the 18th player in UM women's basketball history to reach that maark.

Sophie Weckstrom had 17 and Sigi Koizar added 13.

Maine shot exactly 50% from the field (24-for-48) and 42% from the three point line (8-for-19).

Meanwhile, the Hawks shot just 31%.

UMaine improves to 9-1 in America East, 17-6 overall. Hartford is 7-4 and 13-12.

The Cross Center attendance was 3,287 - the largest crowd to see a UM game there.
