Bangor Beats Oxford Hills 8-1 [HS SCORES]

Two time defending state champion Bangor baseball opened the season with an 8-1 win over Oxford Hills Wednesday afternoon.

Senior Trevor DeLaite gave up three straight hits and one run in the first inning and then settled in to strikeout 12 Vikings through his six innings of work.

Rams leadoff hitter Ben Crichton had two hits, two walks and scored three times.

Derek Fournier had two RBI of a sacrifice fly and bases loaded walk.

Nick Cowperthwaite had a RBI triple.
