Augusta Man and Woman Charged with Murder, Felony Murder & Robbery

State Police say a man and woman from Augusta have been formally charged in connection with the death of a man inside their apartment in November. 

A New York man had previously been charged in the case. Police are calling the death “a drug related homicide”.

27 year old Zina Fritz and her boyfriend – 45 year old Michael Sean McQuade, were indicted late last week by the Kennebec County Grand Jury.  They lived in the apartment at 75 Washington Street, according to police.

Both were indicted on charges of murder, felony murder, and robbery and they will make their first court appearance on the charges Tuesday at 9am, at the Augusta Judicial Center, said police.

The two were arrested by Augusta Police on Friday on unrelated charges and are being held at the Kennebec County Jail.  Both were told of their indictments today.

Detectives arrested 25 year old Damik Davis of Queens New York the day of the homicide and charged him with murder. He continues to be held at the Kennebec Jail

Police said, the body of 31 year old Joseph Marceau of Augusta was found in the fourth floor apartment on November 23 after police were called to the building for a disturbance.
