This is not a trail report that I enjoy writing as it is the middle of school vacation which is usually the busiest weeks for snowmobilers in the County. Mother Nature has been throwing us curve balls all winter and the clubs have been hitting them out of the park (so to speak). Well on Tuesday night she threw us a nasty slider and it turned out that clubs were not able to do anything with it. All projects are reporting: ICE CONDITIONS THROUGH OUT THEIR SYSTEMS.

There are a few clubs that have tried to go out and do something with the ice covered snow, they are reporting that wood covered trails are ok, but not great. Lakes will be extremely smooth and nothing for lubrication. If you do venture out please be advised that ICE SCRATCHERS ARE A MUST AND SLOW DOWN IN CORNERS.

Remember that water takes a few days to find it resting spot, so what might have looked ok to cross yesterday might not be able to cross today.

OUR CONDITIONS HAVE GONE FROM GREAT TO VERY SKIMPY AND DANGEROUS SO PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE IF YOU DO GO OUT.

ALL TRAILS IN THE COUNTY HAVE ICE AND HARD PACKED SNOW, SOME AREAS THROUGH THE WOODS MIGHT BE OK TO RIDE, BUT REMEMBER THAT IT IS NOT THE BEST OUT THERE.

IF THE FORECAST IS ON TARGET FOR THE WEEKEND IT LOOKS LIKE THERE MIGHT BE SNOW IN THE FUTURE IF SO ALL CLUBS WILL BE OUT DOING WHAT THEY CAN SO PLEASE KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED.
