Fish River Falls flows through the gorgeous Maine woods of Fort Kent. It's a fairly easy hike along the well groomed Fish River Fall Trail. If you've ever been there, you know. If you haven't, put it on your bucket list.

Whitewater trips in canoes and kayaks are some of the more adventurous things to do. At times, the water flows with great force and is categorized as class IV rapids.

Fish River is a tributary of the St. John River and flows to Eagle Lake, Saint Froid Lake and Portage Lake.

It's a scenic drive on Route 11 South from Fort Kent. There's a parking lot where the trail starts and picnic areas. You can take in the view and spend the day on the connecting trails around Fish River Falls.

People post a lot on social media about their fishing & hiking expeditions. The pictures show some of the access you have around the trails.

Enjoy Maine from the water's edge and make Fish River Falls part of your Aroostook County Bucket List.
