Amy Grant is being honored with a star on the Music City Walk of Fame! The singer-songwriter will be added to the Nashville landmark at the end of April.

A Grammy Awards-winning artist, Grant will join the Music City Walk of Fame during an April 27 ceremony at Walk of Fame Park, located in downtown Nashville, across from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Those selected to be part of the Music City Walk of Fame earn their spots in part due to the work that they do to help nurture and preserve the heritage of Nashville; the honor also recognizes their contributions to the music industry, whether as an artist, songwriter or executive.

“Amy Grant’s beautiful vocals and her messages of hope, love and faith have entertained and inspired millions of listeners for 40 years," says Nashville Mayor Megan Barry in a press release. "Amy is in the middle of so many worthy causes and events, and I’m grateful for the work she and her husband, Vince Gill, consistently do to make Nashville stronger.”

In addition to Grant, philanthropist Martha R. Ingram will be added to the Music City Walk of Fame on April 27. The two will receive stars No. 75 and No. 76.

Other recent Music City Walk of Fame inductees include Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and Alabama.

In December, Grant released Tennessee Christmas, an all-new holiday album. More information about Grant can be found on her website.
