State Police have charged two teens so far in connection with five recent burglaries in Patten and are asking  the public for information that may help their investigation.

During the week of February 26 through March 4th, State Troopers Tim Saucier, Jared Sylvia and Caleb Adams identified multiple suspects in five separate burglaries in the small northern Penobscot County town.

According to a press release Sunday from Sgt. Josh Haines, 18-year-old Ryan Gardner of Hersey, Maine and a 16-year-old from Patten are facing felony charges of Burglary and Theft to include firearms. Three people of interest have been interviewed and ruled out, but were able to provide knowledge of the crimes and people involved, Haines said.

Police have identified additional suspects in the Patten burglaries and the investigation is ongoing. Evidence collected at the scenes is still being processed.
