Officials say 38-year-old Jesse Marquis answered in the affirmative when asked if he understood the complaint of murder against him and that he has not yet been indicted.

Marquis will make his next court appearance on Friday, June 13th for a bail hearing in Caribou District Court.

Marquis was finally nabbed last Friday with help from a bloodhound from New Hampshire. The bloodhound led tactical team members to Marquis, who was sitting at the base of a tree with a rifle nearby.

Dozens of law enforcement officials had been searching for Marquis, who fled into the woods last weekend after leaving a home where the body of 31-year-old Amy Theriault was found.
