February 29th is recognized every four years as a special “Leap Year” day in our calendar, and at Cary Medical Center, new parents Chris and Lacey Fox of Fort Fairfield and Dayna and Jake Geary of Fort Kent celebrated in an extra special way with the birth of their sons.

Karter Nicholas Fox was born at Cary at 4:03 p.m. on February 29th, weighing 6 lbs., 5 oz., and was 19 inches long. Karter will have help celebrating his special birthday with his 10-year old brother Cole, and 7-year old sister, Keira.

Karl Jacob Geary was born a few hours later at 6:47 p.m., weighing 6 lb. 14.6 oz., and was 19.5 inches long. Karl is Dayna and Jake’s first child.

The newborns were delivered by Pines Health Services providers Dr. Mark Townsend, Obstetrician/Gynecologist and Certified Nurse Midwife Bonnie Bouchard.

Congratulations to the Fox and Geary families and Happy Birthday to Karter and Karl!
