On Saturday, February 15th, the University of Maine at Presque Isle's Wieden Gymnasium will play host to Planet Head Day in collaboration with C-A-N-C-E-R (Caring Area Neighbors for Cancer Education and Recovery), the Northern Maine Museum of Science and NASA New Horizons.

Stop by between 11am and 2pm and have your head painted like a planet for a good cause! They'll supply "bald" caps or a free buzz from local barbers and hair stylists.

You get to choose your favorite planet, dwarf planet or moon, then get your head painted by volunteer artists. Children are welcome!

Each Planet Head raises money for the local C-A-N-C-E-R support group through contributions from local businesses, organizations and individuals.

Volunteers are still needed to help out with the event. If you'd like more information contact Kevin McCartney at 768-9482, Jeanie McGowan at 768-9747 or Louise Calabrese at 764-0766.

You can donate to C-A-N-C-E-R by mail by sending to PO Box 811, Presque Isle, ME 04769-0811 or drop it off at Wieden Hall during Planet Head Day events.
