The Sears National Kids Cancer Ride, a fundraiser for childhood cancer research, will make a stop in Simonds, New Brunswick on Wednesday, September 17th.

The Sears National Kids Cancer Ride involves a team of 20 cyclists riding across Canada in 17 days in September to raise funds for childhood cancer research. The ride kicked off earlier this month in White Rock, BC, Canada.

Since the organization began 10 years ago with a couple of dedicated cyclists crossing the country to raise money for cancer, Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation has raised over $30 million to support charities across Canada that collectively help children across this country fighting this devastating disease.

Covered Bridge Golf & Country Club has been asked by the organizers of this ride to be a selected rest stop for the cyclists. On Wednesday, September 17th at 5 p.m. they will be arriving at the golf club along with their support vehicles, a total of about 20 people in all.

The Golf Club will be providing showers and a meal for them and then they will be leaving departing around 6:30 p.m.

The public is invited to attend at 5:00 pm on Wednesday to greet the cyclists and their entourage as they arrive. It would be nice to make a lot of noise to cheer these people on and encourage them as they continue their fundraising for this very worth while cause.
