75-Year-Old Man Reported Missing in Caraquet, N.B.
UPDATE: The 75-year-old northern New Brunswick man reported missing on Canada Day has been located in Caraquet.
Robert McLean left his residence in Caraquet just after 2 p.m. Friday.
RCMP say McLean was found Sunday at around 2 p.m. He has had a medical examination. No further details have been released.
The RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 75-year-old man from Caraquet.
Officials say Robert Hugh McLean left his residence on 4e Avenue du Parc in Caraquet at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Friday and he has not been seen since.
Police are concerned about his well-being as he can become easily disoriented, Sgt. Stephane Blanchard stated in a press release Saturday.
McLean speaks English, has short grey hair, has no facial hair, weighs approximately 190 lbs and is 5’9” tall. On his left arm, he has scars resulting from an electrical burn injury he suffered in the past. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing red shorts, a black zippered polo and light colored shoes.
The man is known to travel on foot and has attempted to walk to Tracadie in the past. It’s also known that he will sometimes use the bike paths in the area, Sgt. Blanchard said.
Anyone who may have seen Robert McLean anytime after 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1st, is asked to call Caraquet RCMP at 1-888-506-RCMP (7267).
