    This made $57 million at the box office. The film was shot in various places within the borders of the Pine Tree State. Hancock and Mount Hope Cemetery in Bangor, to name a few. If you're wondering why 'sematary' is misspelled, you can look no farther than the book. King explains, through the character 'Jud', that it was misspelled by the children who buried their pets there.

    This 1999 drama, starring Charlize Theron, Michael Caine, and Tobey Maguire hauled in $89 million at the box office and was filmed, partly, in Benard, Maine and Acadia National Park.

    JUMANJI

    This 1995 fantasy movie, starring the late Robin Williams, brought in $263 million at the box office. The Parrish Shoe Factory scenes were filmed in an 1861 Olde Wollen Mill in North Berwick, Maine. It's rumored that part of the movies was filmed in Kennebunk, Maine as well.

    You probably never thought that the friendly ghost would make his way to the Pine Tree State, did you? The movie was set in 'Friendship', but we know it better as Camden, Maine. Not only did the movie capture the hearts of millions, but it also captured $288 million at the box office.

    The 1996 Christmas romance, starring the late Whitney Houston and Denzel Washington, brought in $48 million at the box office. Although the film was set in New York, the ice skating scene was filmed in Portland's Deering Oaks Park.
