The 2nd Annual Miracle Mile Race for Research is fast approaching, and people are really getting out there to help support the cause. It takes a lot of work to pull off an event of this caliber.

The race is set up to raise funds and awareness to aid in the research for curing Neuroblastoma and Diamond Blackfan Anemia. The families of the late Makenna Ward and Maggie Rudnicki, who is currently dealing with Diamond Blackfan Anemia, are teaming up to once again host the Miracle Mile: Makenna and Maggie’s Race for Research. And you’re invited to lace up your sneakers and hit the pavement on Thursday, July 3rd in downtown Houlton!

I had a chance to speak with Race Director, Chris Rines about this year's event. Have a listen to what he had to say!

The race is once again during Houlton’s Midnight Madness. The race will start promptly at 6 p.m. There will be an awards ceremony immediately following to be held at the Elks Club.

You’re encouraged to register online in advance of the race. You can do so here.
