Police say they arrested two 15-year-old boys from Wassis, New Brunswick last Saturday, June 8th for thefts from vehicles. It was the second time that one of the youths had been arrested in connection with this same case. Police say the investigation is still ongoing and additional arrests are possible.

RCMP have received approximately 60 reports of thefts from vehicles in Oromocto and surrounding areas since April 26th. The stolen items include money, wallets, purses, briefcases, passports, cell phones, GPS units, and other electronic devices.

In order to prevent further thefts, police have been conducting random checks to see if vehicles are locked. Of approximately 200 vehicles that have been checked, about 25 have been found to be unlocked.
