The Penobscot County Sheriff's Department held a news conference Tuesday evening to provide an update on the investigation.  Chief Deputy Troy Morton said police are using resources such as the internet and phone capabilities in their attempt to locate Nichole. Maine State Police and agencies throughout the state are on the lookout for the girl. Her case has been added to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children website.

Nichole is a student at Old Town High School.  According to her mother, Kristine Willey, Nichole left with someone she met on Facebook, who was using a fake name.   The girl has light brown hair and blue eyes and weighs about 90 pounds. She was last seen wearing jeans and a pink sweatshirt.  Her phone is apparently shut off.

Nichole’s parents have set up a Facebook group called Bring Nichole Cable Home. As of this morning, the group had over 1300 members.
