The Codiac Regional RCMP have arrested a 12-year-old boy in connection with an armed robbery at a convenience store on Second Avenue in Moncton.

Police responded shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, following a complaint that someone had entered Handi's Convenience carrying a knife, demanded cash and fled.  Sgt. Mario Fortin said nobody was injured in the robbery.

The boy remains in custody and will appear in Moncton Provincial Court. The investigation is ongoing.
